In the sports context, it still does not have considerable relevance because the studies are insufficient. However, there is harmony in the existing studies about the benefits that can be created both for the community and for the organizations that implement this active management mechanism. The research covered professional sport, specifically professional football, based on the assumption that there are several types of social responsibility. The way in which the professional teams integrate and implement the social cause is evaluated, through a qualitative methodology, using content analysis, generated by the exploration of organizational websites, official pages of social networks and documents related to the clubs and the Liga Portugal Football Foundation. Actions of professional clubs in the Autonomous Region of Madeira were included, between the 2018/2019 and 2022/2023 sports seasons. The results indicate several areas of intervention, but there were variations between the teams and the items. A club, by owning or associating itself with social corporations, leverages the number of activities.
