O presente Projeto Final de Mestrado parte desde o inicio com o objetivo de reabilitar o Palácio da Quinta das Águias, em Alcântara.
O projeto baseia o seu caráter em dois aspetos, o facto de ser um edifico, todo ele com valor arquitetónico, sendo um imóvel de interesse público, e o facto de este se encontrar completamente degradado dado ter sido deixado ao abandono. Estes dois aspetos trazem ao projeto a vertente da reabilitação assim como a vertente do restauro.
O Palácio atualmente privado, tornaria o seu foco para atender aos interesses da comunidade. Mantendo, conservando e evidenciando a História do lugar, a intervenção procura criar espaços para toda comunidade, não só mas também espaços de caráter sociocultural, de modo a promover a cultura e o envolvimento social da comunidade, e a criar uma nova dinâmica que cultive a educação, a arte e cultura, e o lazer para a zona.
This Final Master's Project starts from the beginning with the purpose of rehabilitating the Palácio da Quinta das Águias, in Alcântara. The premise for this project are these two aspects, the fact that it is a building with architectural value, being a property of public interest, and the fact that it is completely dilapidated as it has been abandoned. The project will benefit from both the aspect of rehabilitation as well as restoration aspect. The currently private Palace would focus on serving the interests of the community. Maintaining, conserving and highlighting the History of the place, the intervention seeks to create spaces for the entire community, not only but also spaces of a sociocultural nature, in order to promote the culture and social involvement of the community, and to create a new dynamic that cultivates education, art and culture, and leisure for the area.
