Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação tem como ponto fundamental discutir os conceitos de espaço urbano
e espaço rural, a sua possível integração e conexão e como foram evoluindo, com uma
proposta de aplicação em Bucelas. Esta localidade está inserida na Área Metropolitana
de Lisboa mas apresenta características muito peculiares, ou seja, está próxima de áreas
urbanas mas ainda detém um cariz rural. As transformações no mundo rural,
designadamente, a perda (despovoamento) de população e o seu envelhecimento e a
diminuição da população em idade ativa, apresentam-se como alguns dos fatores que
influenciaram as mudanças do espaço rural. Estes territórios vão perdendo vivências e
capacidades, sendo necessário estudarmos e analisarmos estratégias que as possam
conter e inverter, potenciando uma correlação com o mundo urbano, contribuindo para
uma ligação nestes dois espaços distintos, mas cada vez mais atenuados nas suas
fronteiras.
Nesta dissertação, e no estudo de caso, iremos analisar a freguesia de Bucelas, onde
existem vários pequenos núcleos urbanos rodeados de ruralidade. Na análise
desenvolvida discutiremos a qualificação habitacional, ambiental, patrimonial e
paisagística, apostando no fortalecimento dos perímetros urbanos que correspondem
aos aglomerados tradicionais e aos aglomerados rurais, de modo a que estes se possam
tornar atrativos, para absorver a promoção de habitação em espaço rural, dos indivíduos
residentes, de modo a precaver a degradação do património construído e reduzir os
riscos naturais. Estudamos e apresentamos uma possibilidade de reestruturação e
requalificação dos núcleos urbanos tradicionais, visando salvaguardar as áreas agrícolas
que dão suporte à produção de qualidade, e criando condições para a expansão deste património imaterial relevante neste território.
ABSTRACT: This dissertation has as its fundamental point the exploration of the concepts of urban space and rural space, their possible integration, connection and their development, the rural soil is losing its experiences, and over the years these two concepts go through several transformations, so is necessary to study and analyze strategies, which may have answers so that the rural world can generate a correlation with the urban world in order to follow up and link these two distinct spaces. We will analyze the existing heritage in the parish of Bucelas, relating the environment, social structure and man. The case study we will deal in detail with the spatial characterization of the parish of Bucelas, which has several urban centers surrounded by rurality, eventually not having its necessary impact and the “due” experience. starting questions, discussing points such as housing, environmental, heritage and landscape qualification, focusing on the strengthening of urban perimeters that correspond to traditional and rural settlements, so that they can become attractive, to absorb the promotion of housing in order to prevent the degradation of the built heritage and reduce the natural hazards of the resident population, we will undertake a study of a possible restructuring and requalification, with careful growth of the traditional urban centers, something important to safeguard the agricultural areas that support quality production, and conditions for the expansion of this relevant intangible heritage in this territory.
