distância utilizando a metodologia e-Learning, tendo as Instituições do Ensino Superior
adotado, do qual fizeram parte as seguintes etapas: Tipo de Curso; Design; Implementação;
Ambiente.
After a brief analyze to the current Engineering Teaching Method in part or even most schools in Portugal, framing it in a global context, it became a purpose to develop a Method of Instructional Design , which served as a starting point to the development of a training project, using e- Learning, targeted to the Polytechnic Institutions. The development of the project was related to the adopted model of training, which took part in the following steps: Type of Training, Design, Implementation, and Environment. After it was determined that the type of course would be on Industrial Automation and e- Learning environment, the project focused on the design and implementation stages. At the design stage, was planned and implemented the instructional design with the aim of creating a model that not only contribute to the teaching of complex learning, as is the case of Engineering, but also to adjust it to the socio - economic and cultural development, through a learning environment supported in multimedia activities, mainly virtual simulation, who would privilege the student process of 'learning ' than the teacher centered strategies. Thus, emerged a learning method based on modular associative activities through guided instruction, interactivity and reflection, inspired by the principle of '' divide and conquer''. In this context, the model proposes solving a complex problem associated within the study program, through the interconnection of subproblems solutions, according to the topics / modules, considering alternative analysis. Regarding the Course plan, the curriculum was developed according to the Instructional Design proposed; in regard to the production of materials, instructional support learning materials were designed as well multimedia tools, in order to support the proposed Instructional Design.
