dc.description.abstractPara alterar o caráter anacrónico da arquitetura militar da Fortaleza de Juromenha, sita no Alentejo na margem do Guadiana, e com a consciência da importância desta narrativa na construção da memória histórica patrimonial de Portugal, este Projeto Final de Mestrado propõe a revitalização da fortaleza, criando infraestruturas que articulem o passado histórico de que ela é testemunha e uma narrativa arquitetónica contemporânea utilitária regeneradora em que o elemento Turismo é fundamental. Este é, neste trabalho, também objeto de estudo no sentido do seu papel como regenerador e veículo de expansão e divulgação de conhecimento. Este trabalho incide no estudo e análise da questão do património e identidade, na história e na morfologia da Vila de Juromenha bem como a análise arquitetónica da Fortaleza de Juromenha e Muralha e na prática do exercício de arquitetura e, consequentemente, a proposta de um projeto de reabilitação para uso deste espaço histórico e construção de unidades para a habitação temporária, serviços e comércio, conjuntamente com um espaço cultural, propiciando ao visitante vivenciar o lugar.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractSo that to save Juromenha Fortress, in Alentejo, from an anachronistic military architectural narrative and being aware of the importance of its role for preserving the historical patrimony memory within this narrative, aims this work to its rehabilitation by creating Infrastructures which takes into account the past and a contemporary architecture and a meaningful narrative in the present days. For that, this work also analyses the concept of Military Tourism and its role in the revival of historic places and preserving the memory of history. This work focuses on the study and analysis of the idea of patrimony and identity, on the history and Vila de Juromenha morphology as well as on the analysis of the Juromenha Fortress architecture and Wall. Thus, this work is a proposal of a project of rehabilitation, aiming the use of this space full of history and the construction of architectural structures for temporary housing, facilities and trade as well as cultural spots, giving the visitors the chance of living and experiencing the atmosphere of such place.pt_PT
