An internship process refers to the exposure of a set of lived experiences. Thus, it is about these lived experiences that this repot intends to reflect, presenting them according to a literature review supporting professional practice. Throughout this internship report, we initially highlight the trainee’s practice as an assistant coach in the senior coaching staff of the União Desportiva Alta de Lisboa (UDAL) club. Thus, we contextualizes, in first instance, the objectives proposed by the trainee coach, the role played by the trainee, and the characterization of the competitive context in question. Cumulatively, we present the most important aspects related to organization and managemem processes of the training and competition, focusing on aspects related to the game model, standard microcycle and standard exercises of each training session. Allied to this aspect, and in the constant search for new knowledge and the foundation of preconceived ideas, we present a research study on training control, aiming to describe and characterized the standard microcycle, using the non-invasive method of heart rate measurement and using TRIMPmod to calculate the internal training load. Finally, and recognizing the importance of the sharing spirit, which is a determining factor in the evolution of the football and its agentes, we highlight the participation in the organization of a sporting event on Arbitration, aimed at the whole community, held at the Noble Hall of the Faculty of Human Motricity. Thus, this report was made with the purpose of producing and increasing knowledge about training, seeking to enrich the football coach’s área of intervention.
