A unidade didática intitulada A Arte Chinesa dos Recortes de Papel foi desenvolvida
no âmbito do Mestrado em Ensino de Artes Visuais e implementada na disciplina de Projeto e
Tecnologias do Curso de Produção Artística, na especialização em Gravura e Serigrafia, na
Escola Artística António Arroio (EAAA), com uma turma do 11º, no ano letivo 2022/2023.
Sob uma perspetiva multicultural e intercultural de educação, aliada à apreciação pelo
Património Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade, o objetivo da unidade didática consistiu na
criação de um projeto artístico com um ponto de partida assente nas temáticas tradicionais dos
recortes de papel chineses.
O projeto educativo da EAAA defende uma relação entre a Educação, a Arte e a
Cidadania. Assim, a UD planeada vai ao encontro desta visão, promovendo a cidadania através
da exploração de temáticas inerentes à educação multicultural e intercultural, incentivando a
criatividade através do respeito e apreciação pelo património cultural, na qual a temática do
projeto se insere, e expondo os estudantes a uma diversidade cultural de expressões artísticas.
Durante a intervenção letiva foram trabalhadas as competências do Perfil dos Alunos à Saída
da Escolaridade Obrigatória.
A metodologia de ensino-aprendizagem-avaliação aplicada na prática letiva
compreende a metodologia de projeto segundo a perspetiva de Dewey e de Munari. Por
conseguinte as tarefas propostas foram desenvolvidas segundo as características desta
metodologia. A estratégia de avaliação usada foi maioritariamente a formativa, aliada à
ferramenta de feedback de forma a promover aprendizagens.
O projeto concluiu com a apresentação das criações artísticas dos alunos no contexto
de uma exposição e eventos culturais desenvolvidos pela organização CLAN (Commonweal
of Liberal Arts, Nanjing) no Museu de Macau e no dia aberto do Instituto Confúcio da
Universidade de Lisboa, promovendo-se deste modo um efetivo intercâmbio cultural entre os
estudantes e a comunidade chinesa de Lisboa.
The didactic unit entitled The Chinese Art of Papercutting was developed within the scope of the Master in Visual Arts Teaching and implemented in the subject Project and Technologies of the Artistic Production Course, in the specialization of Engraving and Serigraphy, at António Arroio’s Artistic School (EAAA in Portuguese), with a grade 11 class in the 2022/2023 school year. Under a multicultural and intercultural perspective of education, allied with an appreciation for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the objective of this work unit consisted in creating an art project where the starting point was the traditional themes of Chinese paper cutting. EAAA's educational project defends a relationship between Education, Art, and Citizenship. Thus, the didactic unit aims to meet this vision, promoting citizenship through exploring themes inherent to multicultural and intercultural education, encouraging creativity through respect and appreciation for cultural heritage, and exposing the students to culturaly diverse artistic expressions. The teaching intervention focused on the skills students are expected to achieve according to the document The Students' Profile by the End of Compulsory Schooling. During the teaching practice a project-based methodology based on the perspectives of Dewey and Munari was used. Therefore, the tasks developed according to the characteristics of this methodology. Formative evaluation was the evaluation strategy used, allied with providing feedback to promote learning. The project concluded with the presentation of student artistic creations in the context of an exhibition and cultural events organized by CLAN (Commonweal of Liberal Arts, Nanjing) at the Museum of Macau and at the open day of the Confucius Institute of the University of Lisbon, thus promoting an effective cultural exchange between students and the Chinese community of Lisbon.
