A geração Millennial representará a maioria dos clientes de hotéis em 2020, pelo que este sector ganhará com o conhecimento e adaptação a eventuais novas realidades e exigências deste consumidor. Para este efeito foi elaborado um inquérito destinado a Millennials residentes em Portugal e no estrangeiro procurando identificar quais os atributos mais valorizados nos momentos que antecedem a compra e a utilização efectiva dos hotéis. Comparando residentes e não residentes em Portugal, concluiu-se que estes dois grupos valorizam de forma diferente a qualidade do serviço e a segurança. Procurando responder à questão: O que influencia a escolha e avaliação de um hotel pela geração Millennial?, este estudo apoiou-se na disciplina de Comportamento do Consumidor.
The Millennial generation will become the majority of hotel guests by 2020. The hotel industry will gain from knowing and adapting to the requirements of this consumer. For this purpose a survey was distributed to Millennials living in Portugal and abroad, trying to identify which attributes are most valued in the moments that precede the purchase and the actual use of the hotels. Comparing residents and non-residents in Portugal, it was concluded that these two groups value in a different way quality of service and safety. Trying to answer the question: What influences the choice and evaluation of a hotel by the Millennial generation?, this study was based on the discipline of Consumer Behavior
