Resumo(s)
The thesis here presented constitutes the first analysis of the recent events of Poetry Slam in Portugal. It entails two major threads: mapping the creation and development of the different events of poetry slam and the qualitative analysis of concepts and meanings the participants associate to poetry slam. The latter is framed by the notions that place poetry slam in the live poetry context: performance, orality, poetry, community, access, public. To accomplish the qualitative analysis of the participant’s interviews it was used the Grounded Theory method in its Constructivist version by Kathy Charmaz
