A produção de informação e os condicionalismos internos de uma empresa jornalística . Um estudo organizacional no jornal Público.

Pretendeu-se neste estudo fazer uma abordagem, dentro da área da sociologia da empresa, sobre os factores que regulam a relação entre o jornalista e a produção de infonnação no jornal Público.
Partindo da hipótese de que o trabalho do jornalista, no contexto da empresa mediática, é condicionado por contingências internas que implicam sobre todo o funcionamento do jornal e nomeadamente sobre a produção da informação, interessou, assim, investigar- a forma como estes condicionalismos actuam sobre o modo como o jornalista trabalha a informação.
Em simultâneo, procurou-se investigar de que modo estas contingências
internas interagem e qual o peso de umas sobre as outras, e ainda de que forma o seu cruzamento é determinante na concepção do trabalho jornalístico.
Conclui-se neste estudo que o jornalista do Público, ao executar o seu trabalho,
depara com algumas contingências que determinam de modo significativo a
fabricação de infoimação e, em última análise, o tipo de informação que aí se produz e que é característico do jornal: são as estruturas organizacionais onde se insere, são as características tecnológicas do processo produtivo, é a cultura interna da empresa e o sistema de relações que envolve o seu trabalho, e são as próprias exigências das práticas e da cultura profissional da sua classe.
É dentr o deste contexto que o jornalista produz a informação que o Público nos revela diariamente.
It vvas pretended in this study to make an approach, within the sphere of sociology of the entreprise, about the elements which regulate the relation between journalists and the production of information in the newspaper Público. Following tlie hypothesis which considers the joumalist work, within the context of a mediatic entieprise, a condition of the internai contingences, these ones having influences upon ali the newspaper's functioning, namely, in the production of information, it seemed important to analyse the way these conditions contro1 the manner joumalist works information. At the same time, we tried to analyse the way these internai contingences have mutual iníluence and the weight of ones upon the others, and also the importance of this interaction in the conception of the joumalistic work. We conclude that the joumalist of Público, while executing his work, faces severa! contingences which determine, expressively, the way information is built and, most relevant, which determine the kind of information that is specific of the newspaper: we are speaking about the organizational structures where the joumalist moves, the technological Instruments of the productive process, the internai culture of the entieprise and the relations system which envolves his work, and, also, the exigences of one strong professional culture itself. Within this context journalists create the information which Público daily reveal.
