Abstract(s)
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the artist’s creative process, more specifically in the field of comic books, as well as all the factors that influence this process, from the conception of an idea to the final product, always keeping in mind the relation between graphics and concept. Every work of art is born from an idea, which then goes through a series of transmutations, both visual and conceptual, as the artist translates it into the physical world in order to present it as clearly as possible. A historic analysis of comic books will be done – with a bigger focus on newspaper’s comic strips – as well as some references to specific works, in order to analyze the author’s own work, using the same standards
