dc.description.abstractEm Portugal, a Arqueologia preventiva permitiu identificar sítios Paleolíticos de excecional valor científico e cultural à escala mundial como, por exemplo, a Arte Paleolítica do Vale do Côa. A existência de hiatos no mapa nacional de distribuição dos sítios paleolíticos, a par das dificuldades inerentes à identificação de sítios desta cronologia, motivaram a elaboração de um projeto que procura desenvolver e aprofundar o relacionamento entre a Arqueologia Preventiva e a investigação orientada para o estudo do Paleolítico Superior em Portugal: o projeto PALEORESCUE, brevemente apresentado neste artigo.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractIn Portugal, preventive Archaeology has led to the identification of Palaeolithic sites of exceptional scientific and cultural value worldwide such as, for instance, the Palaeolithic Art of the Coa Valley. The existence of gaps in the national map of Palaeolithic sites as well as the inherent difficulties of identifying sites of this chronology have led to the creation of a project which seeks to develop and strengthen the relationship between preventive Archaeology and research into the Upper Palaeolithic in Portugal: the PALEORESCUE project, which is briefly presented in this article.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractAu Portugal, l’archéologie préventive a permis d’identifier des sites Paléolithiques d’exceptionnelle valeur scientifique et culturelle à l’échelle mondiale comme, par exemple, l’Art Paléolithique du Val du Côa. L’existence de hiatus sur la carte nationale de distribution des sites paléolithiques, ainsi que les difficultés inhérentes à l’identification de sites de cette chronologie, ont motivé l’élaboration d’un projet qui cherche à approfondir et développer le lien entre l’Archéologie Préventive et la recherche orientée vers l’étude du Paléolithique Supérieur au Portugal : le projet PALEORESCUE, brièvement présenté dans cet article.pt_PT
