The present work, titled “Omnichannel Integration and New Picking Processes: The Case of El Corte Inglés,” is part of the Master’s in Business Sciences and aims to describe and analyze the activities carried out during the curricular internship at El Corte Inglés, specifically in the Omnichannel department, between March 2024 and August 2024. An analysis is conducted on the ability of traditional companies, such as El Corte Inglés, to adapt to current market demands, with an emphasis on integration and technological innovation for greater operational efficiency. One of the main focuses of the study, beyond the description of the activities performed during the six-month internship—where I focused on managing and analyzing processes related to the company's integrated online and offline operations, both in the food and non-food sectors—also reports on the implementation of the batch picking project, a strategy aimed at optimizing logistical processes, particularly in the context of omnichannel operations. The report provides a detailed account of the entire implementation process of this project, from its conception to its full adoption within the organization, discussing its implications. The report is divided into three parts. The first part consists of a theoretical analysis of the concept of omnichannel and its relevance in the modern retail sector, as well as other approaches pertinent to the internship. The second part presents a description of the company, including its history, organizational structure, and the functioning of the Omnichannel department. Finally, the third part outlines the methodology used and the activities carried out during the internship, focusing on operational and logistical management, the challenges faced, and, with the aim of discussing the results obtained, the correlation between the activities performed and the literature used is established.
