Porém, a oportunidade
The current report was developed within the scope of the curricular internship from the master degree in Education and Formation in the expertise area of Cultural and Social Development in the Education Institute from Lisbon University. The referred internship took place in Lisbon City Council in the Education Department, throughout the 2021/2022 academic year. The main objective of the internship was knowing the multiple projects and programmes developed and supported by the Education Department, and also participating in the preparation and making of various activities. During this time period it was possible to understand many projects developed by the Education Department and take part in a few, specifically in “Semana do Passaporte Escolar”, with the backing of his preparation, in the “Letras Cores e Saberes” programme, with the implementation of activities and the development of game themes to be used in ulterior events. The various projects and programmes that were possible to follow, fit in the field of non-formal education and are promoted within the scope of skills from then autarchy on the education mastery. In that regard, some reference authors ideologies were used, such as Rui Canário, Moacir Gadotti, Maria de Glória Gohn, Joaquim Machado e Alberto de Jesus Almeida. Furthermore, there were also addressed topics from inclusive education and sociocultural animation, with the resort from authors like Sofia Freire, David Rodrigues, Luís Miranda Correia, Victor Ventosa e Sara de Miguel Badesa. After finishing the internship, I can say that the same did not correspond with the expectations I created. Due to some limitations caused by the pandemic, it was not possible to assure my daily presence on the Lisbon City Council facilities. Consequently I did not get the chance to have a real life notion of what it is like to work in the Education Department. However, the opportunity that i had to know many non-formal education projects, the interaction with the Education Department staff and the project´s actors, gotten me a new perspective about the importance that they have with the children and of how it is essential to invest increasingly in projects more inclusive, in a way that everyone can have the same learning opportunities, without the exclusion of anybody.
