Abstract(s)
This project The Intruder’s Mind is a retrospective of my academic journey as an art student. It is divided into three parts; starting with the theoretical part of the genre of the individuality of the autobiographical self, with reference to the theorists Lejeune, De Man and Barthes, and then exploring three case studies of artists, Tracey Emin, Christian Boltanski and William Kentridge, who approach autobiography in their artistic process. Finally, with The Intruder’s Mind project, I present my own case study — Joana Cotrim's autobiography —, with the revelation of three drawing series, in the visual representation of the fragmentation of individual and collective memory.
