This report is based on the internship developed during the second year of the second cycle of studies in Exercise and Health of the Faculty of Human Motricity and was carried out at the Portuguese Gymnasium. The internship was mostly focused on improving the student’s competences at the level of the exercise and testing room, as well as in the group classes component, namely the Indoor Cycle class. The activities developed in the GCP are part of the acquisition of skills and knowledge at the level of physical exercise prescription, assessment of physical condition and body composition and experience in teaching group classes. These activities allowed the elaboration of a study on the chronotropic response to Indoor Cycle classes. For this purpose, most participants, conducted the class with moderate intensity of 70-79%. In the student's t test, it was found that alternative hypotheses (H1) can be accepted as there are differences between the mean and maximum heart rate values recorded in an Indoor Cycle class and both sexes of the participants, as well as There are also differences between the average and maximum heart rate values and the different age levels of the participants, i.e. the average and maximum heart rate differ depending on the gender and age of the participants. The exception occurs between the variable intensity, time, and both sexes, since p > 0.05, for a range of 95% confidence.
