No âmbito do Mestrado em Treino Desportivo da Faculdade de Motricidade Humana foi proposta a realização de um estágio na área de Sports Science nas Modalidades do Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Esta Unidade Curricular permite aos estudantes de Treino Desportivo a possibilidade de experienciar e vivenciar, de forma direta e ativa, o que será o seu futuro como Sport Scientist, integrando a equipa técnica de uma instituição, colocando em prática a teoria aprendida ao longo da sua formação académica. O presente relatório encontra-se dividido em seis grandes capítulos. No primeiro capítulo, Introdução, é feita a contextualização do local de estágio, a caracterização do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, a caraterização das equipas de Andebol e Voleibol, bem como dos elementos técnicos. Neste capítulo são ainda descritos os objetivos gerais e específicos estabelecidos para o estágio, assim como as atividades desenvolvidas durante todo o período de estágio. O segundo capítulo, Enquadramento da Prática Profissional, compreende uma revisão de literatura sobre os conceitos fundamentais para o desenvolvimento das funções de um preparador físico, tais como o Treino de Força e a Monitorização e Carga de Treino. No terceiro capítulo, Área 1 - Organização e Gestão do Processo de Treino e Competição, é realizada uma caracterização geral das equipas, organização, planeamento e avaliação do processo de treino das mesmas. O quarto capítulo, Área 2 – Investigação no Voleibol – Controlo de Carga Externa no Voleibol – Validação de Categorias Relativas ao Salto Máximo, tem com objetivo a comparação entre categorias de salto absolutas e categorias de salto relativas à percentagem do salto máximo de cada atleta. O quinto capítulo, Área 3 - Relação com a Comunidade, descreve o evento “Papel do Sport Scientist nos Desportos Coletivos: Estratégias de Controlo e Monitorização”, realizado no âmbito da FMH Forum Career. Por fim, no sexto capítulo é feita uma reflexão sobre o estágio.
As part of the Master's program in Sports Training at the Faculty of Human Kinetics, an internship opportunity in Sports Science was offered within the Sports Science Departments of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. This curriculum component provides students with a direct and active experience of their future role as Sport Scientists, integrating into the performance staff of an institution and applying the theoretical knowledge acquired throughout their academic journey. The report is divided into six major chapters. The first chapter, Introduction, provides an overview of the internship, characterizes Sport Lisboa e Benfica, describes the Handball and Volleyball teams, as well as their performance staff. This chapter also outlines the general and specific objectives established for the internship, along with a comprehensive account of the activities undertaken throughout the internship. The second chapter, Professional Practice Framework, comprises a literature review, exploring fundamental concepts essential to the functions of a Sport Science, such as strength training and training load monitoring. In the third chapter, Area 1 - Training and Competition Process Organization and Management, a general description of the teams, including their organization, planning and evaluation of the training process, is presented. Chapter four, Area 2 - Research in Volleyball - External Load Monitoring in Volleyball - Validation of Categories Relative to Maximum Jump, aims to compare absolute jump categories with categories relative to each athlete's maximum jump percentage. The fifth chapter, Area 3 - Relationship with the Community, describes the event "The Role of the Sport Scientist in Team Sports: Control and Monitoring Strategies", which was held as part of the FMH Forum Career. Finally, the sixth and last chapter comprises a reflection regarding the internship.
