Abstract(s)
Memória. A memória é, dentro dos seus inúmeros significados, o poder que a mente de um ser tem para refletir sobre o passado. É algo que nos transmite vivências /experiências, que nos faz recordar erros vividos ou triunfos, é a capacidade de parar o tempo e fixar um momento.
Também na arquitetura, temos a oportunidade de agarrar momentos, criar emoções e retirar ensinamentos através da memória, e é deste modo que a Arquitetura deve ser o nosso passado e presente com um objectivo definido para um futuro mais promissor, onde a identidade arquitetónica não deve ser esquecida.
Deste modo, a proposta procura investir na Requalificação da área urbana pós-industrial do Vale de Chelas bem como a Reabilitação da fábrica desativada e degradada da Tinturaria Portugália que se encontra em eminente destruição devido às necessidades do território em que está implantado. Com isto, pretende-se que a própria arquitetura deste complexo fabril possa transmitir o desejo de procura da recaracterização do lugar, vinculada pela sua história, memória e contexto sociocultural, levando a cabo uma intervenção que visa devolver a tinturaria à população.
ABSTRACT: Memory. Memory is, within its innumerable meanings, the power that the mind has to reflect on the past. It is something that transmits experiences, which reminds us of lived mistakes or triumphs, is the ability to stop time and fix a moment. Also in architecture, we have the opportunity to grasp moments, create emotions and draw lessons through memory, and it is in this way that Architecture should be our past and present with a definite purpose for a more promising future, where architectural identity should not be forgotten. Thus, the proposal seeks to invest in the requalification of the post-industrial urban area of Chelas Valley as well as the rehabilitation of the deactivated and degraded Tinturaria Portugália factory, which is in imminent destruction due to the needs of the territory in which it is implanted. With this, it is intended that the very architecture of this factory complex can convey the desire to demand recharacterization of the place, linked by its history, memory, socio-cultural context and carry out an intervention that aims to return Tinturaria to the community.
