Resumo(s)
Between 1987 and 2004, as part of an initiative of the Center of Image and Narrative Techniques (CITEN) of the Modern Art Center José de Azeredo Perdigão/Foundation Calouste Gulbenkian, dozens of animation courses and workshops were held. In 2005, this initiative was integrated in the Research and Study Center for Art and Multimedia (CIEAM) of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL). This research project focuses on the preservation of the audiovisual materials resulting from these courses, currently part of the collection of the Department of Multimedia of FBAUL. As one of the main problems was the lack of information about the materials that made up the collection, efforts were made to identify, quantify, label, and photographically document all the tapes. The next step in the process was viewing and digitizing, whenever possible and appropriate, and finally storing the tapes in as stable conditions as possible, to ensure that they will remain accessible in the future.
