Corpo de Terra é o culminar de uma ideia que procura devolver, (re)descobrir, (re)inventar a essência da vida com recurso à arquitetura, para a biodiversidade e para as pessoas.
Este ensaio trata a conceção de um centro de produção e investigação alimentar que poderá funcionar como um ponto de partida para uma necessária mudança nas estratégias de produção e preservação de alimentos, e na redução da “carregada” pegada ecológica.
Embora haja uma enorme ambição para que projetos do mesmo foco sejam realizados em diversos locais do mundo, este será concretizado em Tavira. Um projeto capaz de, simultaneamente, servir a população local e combater as problemáticas ambientais.
Architectural Body of Earth is the climax of an idea that is looking to develop, (re)discover, (re)invent the essence of life using architecture as a tool for biodiversity and people. The current essay “tackles” the conception of a food and research center that could function as a starting point for a needed change in the production and storage of food and in the reduction of the “heavy” ecological footprint. While there is a huge ambition for the execution of multiple projects around the world, the preceding will be implemented in Tavira. A project both capable of serving local population and dealing with environmental problems.
