| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho incide sobre as dificuldades e restrições presentes no relacionamento entre as PMEs e as instituições de crédito especializado, que disponibilizam leasing e factoring. Com o nosso estudo, realizado através de um questionário entregue às instituições inscritas na "Associação Portuguesa de Leasing, Factoring e Renting", foi possível constatar que as PMEs com a dificuldade em obter crédito junto das fontes tradicionais, têm vindo a recorrer a instituições de crédito especializado. Foi possível verificar que a taxa de incumprimento é maior nas PMEs do que nas grandes empresas, e que a obtenção de informação fidedigna é mais dispendiosa, o que naturalmente contribui para que os custos administrativos para as entidades financiadoras sejam superiores. Por sua vez, constatou-se que as práticas contabilísticas das PMEs nem sempre vão ao encontro do requerido pelas instituições financiadoras, e que estas deverão contar com mais de um ano de atividade antes de procurarem este tipo de financiamento. No caso específico do leasing, foi constatado que a capacidade das PMEs em elaborar projetos não tem sido a desejada, e que o setor económico onde se encontra a PME é um importante fator na decisão de a financiar. Por fim, ao analisar especificamente o factoring, é de realçar que os créditos de entidades públicas não são considerados os mais fiáveis, e que o relacionamento entre o devedor e o credor é um fator importante aquando da adesão ao factoring. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present work focus on the difficulties, and restrictions in the relation between SMEs and Credit Institutions, that provide leasing and factoring. This study aims on a special area in the Portuguese business context, from the financial institutions point of view. With our study, realized with a survey sent to "Associação Portuguesa de Leasing, Factoring e Renting", it was possible to understand that SMEs due to the lack of finance from the traditional credit institutions have been looking to specialized credit. It was possible to find that the default rate is higher among SMEs than among big companies. It was observed that it's more difficult to get faithful information from SMEs, what inevitably contributes to higher administrative costs to financial institutions. It was observed that the accounting standards weren't the desired by the surveyed and that the SMEs should have more than one year of activity before seek for specialized credit. In the specific case of Leasing it was realized that the capacity of SMEs to elaborate projects has not been the ideal and that the economic sector is an important factor when analyzing a leasing proposal. In the specific case of factoring it should be said that the credits from the public sector are not the more reliable, and the relation between debtor and creditor is an important factor when analyzing a factoring proposal. | pt_PT |
