Este projeto de cariz comunitário procura desenvolver formas de comunicação entre o passado e o futuro de uma civilização que é atingida com os problemas comuns da ruralidade portuguesa, do envelhecimento e despovoamento. Usa, para tal, o caso de estudo da aldeia São Pedro do Rio Seco no concelho de Almeida, Guarda.
O PENSAR AS “PLANURAS RAIANAS” estabelece um conjunto arquitetónico que institui um encontro entre a identidade do lugar e uma conceção de um futuro idealizado com base em questões particularmente interligadas à ruralidade como, a sua paisagem natural, as suas tradições e memórias e a arquitetura tradicional. Sendo que, a questão mais abordada é a aproximação entre uma povoação e a aldeia através da arquitetura. Por isso, este trabalho incide sobre temas como, a valorização da arquitetura tradicional e a sua relação com a atualidade através dos materiais como, a aplicação do granito em diferentes circunstâncias, da sua organização espacial desde as tipologias tradicionais aos espaços abertos, bem como reflexões sobre o uso do património local da Escola Primária, o Calvário e o Rio Seco e promoção de algumas tradições através da arquitetura.
Esta investigação evolui de construções simples capazes de abranger os recursos da localidade para uma fundação de uma identidade própria que congrega a comunidade e os princípios arquitetónicos do lugar.
This community-based project seeks to develop ways of communication between the past and the future of a civilization is hit with the common Portuguese rurality problems of aging and depopulation. It is used, with this knowledge, the case study of São Pedro do Rio Seco in the municipally of Almeida, Guarda. PENSAR AS “PLANURAS RAIANAS” establish an architectonic ensemble that creates a meeting between the site identity and a design of an idealization of the future based on questions particularly linked to rurality such as, the landscape, the traditions and memories and the traditional architecture. But the most addressed question being the approximation between the population and the village. That being said, this work focuses on themes like, the appreciation of the local architecture and its relationship with the present through the materials like the application of granite in different occasions in the building, the spatial organization since the traditional typologies to the open spaces as well as reflexions about the use of local patrimony of the Primary School, Calvário and the Seco River ant the promotion of some traditions built through the architecture. This investigation evolves from the simplest constructions capable of including the local resources to a foundation of a self-identity that gather the community and the places architectonic principles.
