dc.description.abstractA presente dissertação serve a intenção de projecto de Reabilitação do Património Industrial compreendido entre a Ponte de Santa Clara e a Ponte do Açude, em Coimbra, trazendo de volta a perdida ligação entre o rio que as mesmas atravessam e a respectiva zona da cidade. Muitos dos edifícios industriais plantados nesta linha junto ao Mondego encontram-se desactivados, aparentando um estado devoluto e de progressiva degradação, pelo que se torna algo urgente devolver-lhes o dinamismo e a actividade que lhes foram retirados. A reabilitação destes espaços vem cumprir esse mesmo objectivo, destacando-se, neste projecto, a intervenção no território da Fábrica Ideal – na Rua do Arnado –, e restante tecido urbano circundante. A mesma prende-se com a reconversão deste espaço numa Escola Superior de Música, criando um novo polo universitário, dedicado às artes do espectáculo, e contribuindo para a continuidade de uma educação de prestígio, tão característica desta cidade. Assim, a presente dissertação decorre com o desenvolvimento dessa mesma intervenção, com vista a valorizar, essencialmente, as questões do património e a sua protecção, salientar a importância da memória colectiva para a reabilitação e esclarecer a ligação que pode existir entre a arquitectura, a acústica e a música.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractThis dissertation serves the intention of project for a Rehabilitation of the Industrial Heritage between the Santa Clara Bridge and the Açude Bridge, in Coimbra, bringing back the lost connection between the river and the respective area of the city. Many of the industrial buildings planted on this line next to the Mondego river are deactivated, appearing to be in a progressive state of degradation, which is why it is urgent to restore the dynamism and activity that were taken from them. The rehabilitation of these spaces fulfills this same objective, highlighting, in this project, the intervention in the territory of the Ideal Factory - in Arnado Street -, and the rest of the surrounding urban fabric. It is related to the conversion of this space into a School of Music, creating a new university center, dedicated to the performing arts, and contributing to the continuity of a prestigious education, so characteristic of this city. Thus, this dissertation takes place with the development of that same intervention, with a view to essentially valuing the issues of heritage and their protection, highlighting the importance of collective memory for rehabilitation and clarifying the connection that may exist between architecture, acoustics and music.pt_PT
