Questões linguísticas suscitadas pela tradução de um texto jurídico chinês - português : conexões interfrásicas

O objectivo da presente dissertação é a apresentação e análise da questão das
conexões interfrásicas nas línguas portuguesa e chinesa, tendo como base a tradução de
um texto jurídico de chinês para português.
A dissertação está estruturada em três capítulos. O primeiro capítulo é dedicado a
certos aspectos da tradução jurídica, focando algumas questões gerais relacionadas com
a especificidade deste tipo de tradução.
O segundo capítulo é constituído pela tradução de um excerto do discurso jurídico,
de chinês para português, intitulado “Análise da questão dos conflitos de direitos no
processo da protecção de dados pessoais”. É com base nesta tradução que o objecto de
estudo linguístico da dissertação é analisado.
O terceiro e o último capítulo debruçar-se-á sobre o tema de conexões interfrásicas
nas línguas portuguesa e chinesa. Serão apresentados conceitos essenciais da área, tais
como coesão interfrásica, hipotaxe e parataxe, bem como coordenação e subordinação.
Uma secção do capítulo foca-se na análise de casos específicos com base na tradução
apresentada no Capítulo II. A par disso, a última secção do capítulo dedica-se a uma
análise comparativa entre as línguas portuguesa e chinesa em relação à coesão textual.
This dissertation aims to present and analyse the question of interphrasal cohesion in Portuguese and Chinese, based on the translation of a legal text from Chinese to Portuguese. This dissertation is structured into three chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to some aspects of legal translation and some general questions related to it will be addressed. The second chapter comprises the translation of an excerpt of a legal speech, from Chinese to Portuguese, entitled "Analysis of the question of conflicts of rights in the process of personal data protection". Based on this translation, the object of study of this dissertation is analyzed. The third and the last chapter is about the topic of interphrasal cohesion both in Portuguese and Chinese. Some essential concepts of the area, such as hypotaxis and parataxis, as well as coordination and subordination, will be presented. The last section of the chapter focuses on the analysis of some specific cases, supported by the translation presented in Chapter II.
