| dc.description.abstract | As obras de Conceição Evaristo refletem a realidade social do Brasil, com foco na desigualdade social, a violência cotidiana exercida contra as camadas sociais mais baixas, especialmente as mulheres, os problemas da periferia urbana, assim como a riqueza cultural e religiosa desses espaços. Através do estudo das obras Ponciá Vicêncio, Becos da memória, Insubmissas lágrimas de mulheres, Olhos d'água e Histórias de leves enganos e parecenças, o presente trabalho pretende analisar como Evaristo, por meio da técnica da “escrevivência”, retrata a vida e a luta das mulheres negras, expondo os desafios que enfrentam, derivados do racismo, da discriminação de género e da exploração econômica. Neste sentido, a dissertação visa examinar as caraterísticas da literatura afro-brasileira presentes nas obras da escritora, que exploram a História, a cultura e as experiências quotidianas dos afro-brasileiros e, principalmente, das afro-brasileiras, marcadas pela opressão histórica e a complexidade da sua herança cultural. Igualmente, pretende-se estudar a presença e importância da memória coletiva na escrita da autora, que mostra como os traumas históricos moldam a vida das mulheres negras contemporâneas. Ao combinar realidade e ficção, utilizando o poder da memória, da ancestralidade e das tradições culturais, Evaristo critica as injustiças e contradições da sociedade brasileira atual. Seus trabalhos ilustram a experiência feminina diante da violência doméstica, sexual e da opressão sistêmica, destacando a resiliência e coragem das personagens afro-brasileiras, e promovendo uma reflexão profunda sobre a identidade cultural e a justiça social. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Conceição Evaristo's works reflect the social reality of Brazil, focusing on social inequality, the daily violence exercised against the lower social strata, especially women, the problems of the urban periphery, as well as the cultural richness and these religious spaces. Through the study of the works Ponciá Vicêncio, Alleys of Memory, Insubmissas Tears of Women, Eyes of Water and Stories of Light Mistakes and Similarities, the present work intends to analyze how Evaristo, through the technique of “writing”, portrays life and the struggle of black women, exposing the challenges they face, the difficulties of racism, gender discrimination and economic exploitation. In this sense, the dissertation aims to examine the characteristics of Afro-Brazilian literature present in the writer's works, which explore the History, culture and everyday experiences of Afro-Brazilians and, mainly, Afro-Brazilians, marked by historical oppression and complexity of its cultural heritage. Likewise, we intend to study the presence and importance of collective memory in the author's writing, which shows how historical traumas shape the lives of contemporary black women. By combining reality and fiction, using the power of memory, ancestry and cultural traditions, Evaristo criticizes the injustices and contradictions of current Brazilian society. Her works illustrate the female experience in the face of domestic and sexual violence and systemic oppression, highlighting the resilience and courage of Afro-Brazilian characters, and promoting in-depth reflection on cultural identity and social justice. | pt_PT |
