O TFM proposto consiste, em continuidade com a unidade curricular de projeto integrado lll, na proposta de uma residência artística para o Vale de Santo António, em Lisboa. O Vale de Santo António é atualmente um vazio urbano entre as freguesias de Penha de França e São Vicente. Propõe-se, através de uma intervenção urbana, colmatar esse vazio e qualificar o Vale, criando habitação, melhores conexões com a cidade, os serviços adequados e espaços verdes qualificados. É dada particular atenção à componente natural, a sua preservação e como um urbanismo verde pode melhorar a qualidade de vida dos atuais e futuros habitantes do Vale. A residência artística projetada localiza-se no Alto da Eira. O projeto arquitetónico é um espaço para habitar e criar, englobando tanto habitações como espaços de trabalho. O edifício foca-se numa vivência comunitária entre os habitantes da residência, mas também na vivência pública que pode proporcionar, podendo funcionar como um catalisador para atividades culturais para os habitantes do Vale. A flexibilidade dos espaços pretende ser uma constante a investigar ao longo do projeto arquitetónico, numa tentativa de que a arquitetura se adapte aos residentes e a diversos programas.
The proposed TFM consists, in continuation with the project lll curricular unit, of a proposal for an artistic residency in Lisbon’s Santo António Valley. Vale de Santo António is currently an urban void between Penha de França and São Vicente. Through an urban intervention, it is proposed to fill this void and qualify the valley, creating housing, better connections with the city, adequate services and qualified green spaces. Particular attention is paid to the natural component, its preservation and how green urbanism can improve the quality of life of the Valley’s current and future inhabitants. The planned artistic residence is located in Alto da Eira. The architectural project is a space for living and creating, encompassing both living and working spaces. The building focuses on a communal experience among the residents of the residence, but also on the public experience it can provide, and can act as a catalyst for cultural activities for the inhabitants of the Valley. The flexibility of the spaces is intended to be a constant to be investigated throughout the architectural project, in an attempt for the architecture to adapt to the residents and various programmes.
