| dc.description.abstract | A mecanização da vida e o fetichismo da mercadoria, inerentes à condição urbana desde a modernidade, conduzem a uma destruição da experiência. Se os artistas contemporâneos conscientes desse sintoma aglutinam e reflectem nas obras a praxis sócio-cultural, acabam por subvertê-la por uma produção espacial e temporal autónoma. Salvaguardando o aqui e agora da experiência, os objectos artísticos são irredutíveis à transparência cognitiva proclamada pelo bio-poder, ao evidenciarem a sua qualidade matérica, que os coloca entre o visível e o invisível, a determinação espacial e a sua dissolução, sendo pela iminência do colapso que as obras comparecem no presente, a ser indefinidamente perpetuado pelo devir da matéria. A anti-monumentalidade e o carácter portátil dos objectos artísticos confere-lhes a qualidade de espaços sem espaço, ao carecerem de uma topografia definitiva e estável que demarque o seu carácter inevitavelmente provisório. Rigorosamente inqualificáveis e sempre exilados em termos geo-políticos, os espaços sem espaço e os lugares sem lugar da arte contemporânea firmam a atopia, que garante ao presente uma condição glocal, pela qualidade monádica adquirida por objectos, a um tempo, integrados mas autónomos do contexto geográfico e social. Do mesmo modo que a deslocação do significado para os receptores mantém a condição matérica dos objectos artísticos, o pendor anunciativo da comunidade heterotópica manifesta uma entrega aos desígnios de um presente que obstrui as sínteses cognitivas e, por acréscimo, a noção de totalidade subjectiva ou social. A condição indecidível das heterotopias corresponde, em termos sócio-políticos, a uma comunidade sempre retardada porque realizada no perpétuo presente. | pt |
| dc.description.abstract | The mechanization of life and the fetishism of commodities, inherent to the urbancondition since the modernity, conducts to the destruction of experience. If the conscientiousartists of that symptom absorb and reflect in artworks the socio-cultural praxis, they end up bysubverting it through the production of a spatial and temporal autonomy.
