O presente trabalho busca apresentar, de forma empírica, o impacto do IDE chinês na economia brasileira, ao analisar o contexto histórico das teorias de IDE, as relações comerciais entre o Brasil e a China, o padrão de comércio bilateral, o modo de ingresso do IDE e, finalmente, os setores da economia que mais recebem investimentos chineses. Em seguida, procurou-se avaliar em que medida existem benefícios em curto, médio ou longo prazo ao Brasil, além de medidas para delimitar e regular a forma de investimento direto estrangeiro de forma a obter maiores benefícios.
The present work aims to present, empirically, the impact of Chinese FDI in the Brazilian economy, to analyze the historical context of FDI theories, the trade relations between Brazil and China, the pattern of bilateral trade, FDI entry modes, and, finally, the economic sectors that receive more Chinese investment. Then, an evaluation of the benefits of Chinese FDI in Brazil is carried out, within a perspective of short, medium and long term, and measures to define and regulate foreign direct investment were raised in order to derive greater benefits.
