A Colina do Castelo, em Lisboa, é um lugar de grande afluência, o que gera uma grande pressão sobre os espaços públicos e acessibilidades, numa cidade de tempos anteriores que, permanentemente, se tenta regenerar e adaptar. A par desta realidade, tem-se verificado uma crescente procura por ocupação temporária e uma desvalorização da população residente, provocando um défice de raízes ao lugar e às pessoas do lugar, fundamentais na caracterização e preservação da identidade, memória e cultura de um lugar e de um povo.
Pretende-se melhorar a acessibilidade na Colina, caracterizada pelas suas difíceis ruas, a sua topografia acentuada e por um aparente tecido “labiríntico”. Em simultâneo, procura-se criar espaços que valorizem os moradores dos bairros antigos, num compromisso entre eles e os visitantes, de modo a que se gerem lugares de referência para as vivências urbanas.
Assim, procura-se permeabilizar o tecido histórico, estabelecendo um percurso que atravessa os três principais bairros da Colina do Castelo, o Bairro do Castelo, o de Alfama e o da Mouraria, onde são propostos espaços coletivos que funcionam como continuidade da rua, lugares que pretendem potenciar um conjunto de atividades por forma a promover relações interpessoais, e simultaneamente resolvem barreiras impostas ao percurso desenhado.
ABSTRACT: Colina do Castelo, in Lisbon, is a place of great affluence, which creates a great pressure on public spaces and accessibility, in an ancient city that is constantly trying to regenerate and adapt. Alongside with this reality, there has been a growing demand for temporary occupation and a devaluation of the resident population, causing a lack of roots to the place and the people of the place, key in the characterization and preservation of the identity, memory and culture of a place and of its habitants. There is an intention to improve accessibility on Colina, characterized by its difficult streets, its accented topography and an apparent “labyrinth” of the urban form. At the same time, seeking to create spaces that value the residents of the old neighborhoods, in a compromise between them and the visitors, so that they generate reference places for urban experiences. Thus, looking to permeate the historical form, establishing a route that crosses the three main Districts of Costa do Castelo, Bairro do Castelo, Alfama and Mouraria, where proposed collective spaces that function as continuity of the street. Places that aim to enhance a set of activities in order to promote interpersonal relationships, and simultaneously solve barriers imposed to the drawn routes and accesses.
