Resumo(s)
O presente relatório resulta do estágio curricular realizado no âmbito do Mestrado
elementos teóricos acima enumerados e a prática resultante do estágio.
This report is the result of the curriculum internship within the scope of the Master in Education and Training, an area of specialization in Social and Cultural Development, which took place in the CEBI Foundation, more specifically in the DES, for eight months. The main goal of this Institution is to receive and to provide the welfare of children and youth, which due to several adverse reasons, can´t continue developing among natural parenthood environment. The main objective of this internship was to guide and to participate in the activities carried out by the DES, both in and out the facilities, based in their values of humanism and solidarity. The internship area was community intervention, supported by non-formal educational dynamics. During the several months the internship took place, I’ve supported a variety of tasks, including supporting study, completing observation grids from children, in a wide variety of categories, organizing children’s files for late audits, observations of children's behavior during visits of their families, completion of questionnaires and surveys by the school, in the observation and guidance from the technical team and in the preparation and execution of various activities of a playful nature, performed with children and youth. This report is organized into two chapters. In the first chapter, theoretical contents that fit the dynamics of the internship are highlighted, with special regard to the role of education and training, the distinction between educational modalities (non-formal education and informal education), the institutionalization of children and adolescents and also the institutional reception to the children in need, as well as the form of action of the host houses. The second chapter concerns the activities in which I have participated and/or organized in the stage, seeking, whenever appropriate, an articulation between the theoretical elements enumerated above and the practice resulting from the internship. Theorical contribution from authors as Gaston Pineau, Maria da Glória Gohn, Rui Canário, Pedro Strecht and Isabel Gomes allow a precise study of the internship dynamics. The completion of this internship in the DES enabled me, first and foremost, to sharpen my desire to work with and for the children in the future. To be able to help others, no matter how small this contribution may be, to change consciences and, above all, to leave my comfort zone, was the best result I could have asked for. I could still seen up close how a Non Governmental Organization is runned and to know all procedures necessary to hold a request to host a child. It should be noted that the knowledge acquired during the Bachelor's and Master's degree was an added value in the performance of educational practices and the report.
