O presente trabalho final de mestrado apresenta um plano de negócios para o desenvolvimento de uma empresa focada na oferta de passeios de buggy na cidade de Chaves, a BuggyXperience. A ideia do projeto surge com a identificação de uma lacuna na região para atividades lúdicas e radicais, aliada ao potencial de crescimento turístico da cidade.
O plano de negócios desenvolvido incluiu uma análise detalhada do ambiente macroeconómico, caracterização do mercado e da concorrência, estratégias de marketing e operacionais, além de projeções financeiras que avaliam a viabilidade do empreendimento. A análise de mercado contempla um inquérito realizado a residentes e não residentes da cidade de Chaves, que revelaram interesse na realização de passeios de buggy, tanto na vertente de aventura quanto na cultural.
O projeto propõe ainda práticas que minimizam o impacto ambiental, como a definição de rotas ecológicas e a promoção de educação ambiental dos clientes. Este compromisso visa diferenciar a BuggyXperience no mercado, procurando responder à crescente procura por um turismo sustentável.
Conclui-se que, além de responder a uma necessidade local, a BuggyXperience tem um elevado potencial de sucesso, tanto pela atratividade turística da região como pela diferenciação através da sua oferta, e ainda pelos resultados apresentados. O projeto apresenta um VAL (valor atual líquido) positivo, uma TIR (taxa interna de retorno) superior à taxa de atualização calculada e um payback period inferior aos anos de vida útil projetada.
This master's final work presents a business plan for the development of a company focused on offering buggy tours in the city of Chaves (Portugal), called BuggyXperience. The idea for the project arose from the identification of a gap in the region for recreational and adventure activities, combined with the city’s tourism growth potential. The developed business plan includes a detailed analysis of the macroeconomic environment, market characterization, and competition, as well as marketing and operational strategies, along with financial projections assessing the feasibility of the venture. The market analysis includes a survey conducted with both residents and non-residents of Chaves, revealing interest in buggy tours, both in adventure and cultural aspects. The project also proposes practices that minimize environmental impact, such as defining ecological routes and promoting environmental education among customers. This commitment aims to differentiate BuggyXperience in the market, addressing the growing demand for sustainable tourism. It can be concluded that, as well as responding to a local need, BuggyXperience has a high potential for success, both because of the region's tourist attractiveness and because of the differentiation it offers, as well as the results it presents. The project has a positive NPV (net present value), an IRR (internal rate of return) higher than the calculated discount rate and a payback period shorter than the years of projected useful life.
