O acompanhamento do dia-a-dia do atelier providenciou
ABSTRACT: Streetwear Design is one of the segments of Fashion in constant evolution, not in sync with the remaining fashion industry but functioning independent of it. Throughout our education we are provided the necessary tools as designers, however, the professional experience is a must-have when entering the workplace scenario. This investigation and thesis had as an objective, to experience the workplace, in this case, in the fashion department, more precisely, the streetwear fa-shion scene, in order to achieve knowledge, experience, and an overall personal and professional evolution. This was made possible through the integration of the design team in Ricardo Andrez’s design studio for 6 months, having had the chance to follow him in his every workday schedule and routine. In order to achieve this, it was used throughout this investigation two methods, one of an active investigation (interventionalist) and another of direct observation (non-interventionist) quality based. We can conclude that the realization of this internship put in practice the knowledge acquired during the academic process, through the various tasks executed, the direct contact with the designer, and the active participation in all phases of the development of the collection. Following the day-to-day life in the studio made light of the way a studio, and a company work, their dynamic, their problems, their team, and the way they go about their work. The experience added both a professional and personal value, proving to be both positive and enriching.
