| dc.description.abstract | O objectivo da presente dissertação é o estudo das ânforas romanas exumadas nas intervenções arqueológicas realizadas no teatro romano de Lisboa nas campanhas de 2001, 2005 e 2006. Trata-se de um conjunto relativamente amplo e tipologicamente diversificado recolhido em contextos arqueológicos relacionados com a edificação e remodelação do teatro. Estes contentores testemunham, em Olisipo, a importação de produtos alimentares de vários locais do império desde meados do século II a.C. até ao terceiro quartel do século I d.C., constituindo-se como importantes indicadores para o estudo da dinâmica comercial de Olisipo. O trabalho divide-se em três partes distintas. A primeira constitui basicamente uma contextualização dos temas relacionados com a implantação geográfica, evolução histórica da cidade até ao momento da construção do edifício, e intervenções arqueológicas que ao longo dos anos ali se vêm desenvolvendo, abordando-se ainda a questão da importância dos estudos anfóricos na percepção da economia antiga. Numa segunda parte são analisados os contextos estratigráficos, procurando-se interpretar o seu significado diacrónico e sincrónico e a sua relação com a construção e remodelação do espaço cénico; apresentam-se as formas anfóricas que compõem a amostra e procede-se à caracterização dos distintos fabricos identificados e regiões produtoras a que se encontram associados. Na terceira parte realiza-se a análise quantitativa e qualitativa do conjunto, expondo-se as leituras possíveis acerca dos hábitos de consumo e ritmos de importação em Olisipo à época. | pt |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this dissertation is the study of the Roman amphorae recovered in the archaeological excavations accomplished in the Roman theatre of Lisbon in the 2001, 2005 and 2006 campaigns. It is a relatively wide and typologically diversified set, collected in archaeological contexts related with the construction and remodelling of the theatre. These containers testify, in Olisipo, the importation of alimentary products from several places of the empire from the middle of the 2nd century B.C. to the third quarter of the 1st century A.D., representing important indicators for the study of the commercial dynamics of Olisipo. The work is divided in three different parts. The first constitutes basically a contextualization of the themes related with the geographical implantation, historical evolution of the city to the moment of the construction of the building, and archaeological interventions that have been developed along the years. The subject of the importance of amphoral studies in the perception of the economy in the ancient world is also approached. In the second part the stratigraphic contexts are analyzed, looking for to interpret the diachronic and synchronic meaning and its relationship with the construction and remodelling of the scenic space; the amphoral types that compose the sample are presented, followed by the characterization of the distinct identified fabrics and associated producing areas. In the third part takes place the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the set, being exposed the possible readings concerning the consumption habits and importation rhythms in Olisipo to the time. | pt |
