0 século XX foi um período bastante conturbado da sociedade, que afectou o
sistema educativo português e não só. O fim das escolas técnicas e o aparecimento de
instituições de ensino superior paralelas às universidades são dois marcos da
transformação social do nosso país no sentido que estes tornam o ensino superior mais
próximo dos diversos grupos sociais, com as naturais consequências na estrutura social.
A evolução destas estruturas de ensino superior, a sua interacção com os tecidos
económicos regionais, o seu futuro face à cada vez maior integração europeia, são
temáticas desenvolvidas neste trabalho, que aborda ainda o seu enquadramento
legislativo, a razão de ser do seu aparecimento e consequências.
O paradigma da imagem social do ensino superior politécnico face ao ensino
universitário em Portugal e a comparação estrutural do ensino superior em alguns países
da Europa Ocidental, com especial enlevo para estruturas que suportem o ensino
superior não universitário, são preocupações que estão patentes neste estudo.
No âmbito europeu é feita especial referência à Declaração de Bolonha e suas
consequências práticas.
Com este trabalho é feita a demonstração dos benefícios do ensino superior
politécnico ao nível regional, benefícios esses que extravasam largamente o âmbito
económico.
The twentieth century was a disturbed period in the portuguese society, who damaged the leaming system The ending of technical schools and the rise of superior teaching schools paralels to universities, are two steps of social changing in our country who approach the superior leaming and the social groups, with natural consequencies on social structure. The evolution of this structures, the interaction with regional economic tissues, them future in the following of european integration, are developed issues in this work, who also refer the legislative squirement, reason of his rising and consequencies. The paradigmatical image of superior politechnic learning in face of superior leaming in Portugal and the strutural comparing with superior leaming in the other Western European Countries, with special reference to structures who support the non-university leaming , are patent preocupations in this study. In the european area there are special reference to Bologne Declaration and his praticai consequencies.
