Correspondência política. Manuel Alfredo Tito de Morais e Francisco Ramos da Costa (1962-1965)

Durante o período da ditadura do Estado Novo implementada em Portugal, várias foram as redes de resistência que, de forma clandestina, fizeram oposição ao regime ditatorial português. Tendo em conta a pertinência de encontrar novas fontes de memórias para diversificar os instrumentos de análise da Revolução de Abril, este trabalho incide sobre a correspondência epistolar trocada entre Manuel Alfredo Tito de Morais e Francisco Ramos da Costa, dois dos fundadores do Partido Socialista. Partindo da questão Como Organizar e Representar a Correspondência trocada entre Manuel Alfredo Tito de Morais e Francisco Ramos da Costa tendo em vista a sua edição?, esta investigação debruçou-se, utilizando a investigação documental (e a análise de conteúdo que decorre deste método), no estudo da escrita de cartas e o seu papel na organização política, bem como na sua função relativa à construção de memória. De modo a organizar e representar a correspondência de forma criteriosa, foi desenvolvido um procedimento metodológico próprio (seguido nesta investigação) baseado na análise crítica de obras já publicadas e que pretende ser uma proposta de Organização de Edições de Correspondência para trabalhos seguintes na área da Epistolografia. Na sequência deste estudo, são de notar os progressos feitos na obtenção de resultados derivados do desenvolvimento de uma proposta metodológica própria de organização de correspondência que, por sua vez, contribui para uma análise da escrita enquanto construção de memória(s), tendo por base a informação recolhida para a revisão da literatura.
During the epoch of the dictatorship of Estado Novo implemented in Portugal, various clandestine resistance webs opposed the Portuguese dictatorial regime. Taking into account the pertinence of finding new resources of memories to diversify the analysis instruments of Abril´s Revolution, this master’s dissertation focuses on the epistolary correspondence exchanged between Manuel Alfredo Tito de Morais and Francisco Ramos da Costa, two of the founders of the Portuguese Socialist Party. Based on the question How to Organize and Represent the Correspondence exchanged between Manuel Alfredo Tito de Morais and Francisco Ramos da Costa with the purpose of its edition?, this research focuses, on using the documentary analysis (and the analysis content that derives from this method), on the study of letter writing and its role on political organization, as well as on its function in the construction of memory. To organize and represent the correspondence with criteria, this study developed a new methodological procedure (followed in this research) based on the critical analysis of published works that aims to be a proposal for the Organization of Correspondence Editions for works in the area of Epistolography. In the sequence of this study, the progress derived from the development of a new methodological procedure to organize correspondence contributed to an analysis of writing as memory construction, based on the information retrieved for the state of the art.
