Resumo(s)
Encouraged by the findings made at Lintas, this document aims to be a first step towards the preservation and communication of the heritage o fone of the eldest advertising agencies in Portugal, established in 1957 and accountable for the campaigns for popular products such as the washing powder OMO, margerines Planta and Vaqueiro or LUX soap. Starting with a set of objects that included 412 commercials – released between 1957 and the end of the portuguese dictatorship -, a cataloguing system, specific for advertising material, was designed, followed by the development of a proposal for exhibiting that material. In this proposal, it is suggested that an online museum should be created to bring to public view Linta’s advertising film archive, as well as offering a program of regular exhibitions and allowing the agency’s heritage to tell one of the stories behind the history of advertising in Portugal
