A cidade é a síntese da imagem do homem e seus anseios. É com esta visão que este trabalho busca a leitura atenta de um local periférico e rico em elementos físicos e temporais como é Moscavide. Mais do que isto, a presente investigação define uma proposta em projeto que reúne os devidos conceitos inerentes às realidades existentes no que corresponde aos limites entre Moscavide e Parque das Nações, com o fim de conceber uma arquitetura capaz de conectar as duas partes e possibilitar o ato de atravessamento em diversas escalas. Romper os limites e conceder acesso é uma das tarefas mais perspicazes da arquitetura contemporânea, que está fadada a revisar a herança urbana e arquitetônica na sua conjuntura existente.
Reabilitar o urbano, portanto, é o partido de projeto, sendo alcançado a partir de uma base teórica que procura definir os principais componentes do território, primeiramente de maneira conceitual e holística, para em seguida aprofundar-se na matéria existente e lançar uma proposta materializável em no bairro.
Moscavide hoje tem um mercado pouco utilizado e que falha no seu papel social enquanto local de encontro e fomento coletivo. Por esta razão, foi preciso repensar a sua atual implantação no tecido urbano e traçar estratégias que permitam que o que há de mais solene em um Mercado Municipal seja otimizado, a fim de que este seja objeto recipiente da diversidade da vida local.
Ainda neste sentido, pluralizar as funções do território passa não somente pelo aumento da qualidade da paisagem urbana, mas também diretamente pela solução dos seus vazios urbanos adjacentes, que ganham novos usos e usuários, produzindo um território rico em diversidade.
Por fim, pretende-se a concepção de um objeto arquitetônico tradutor da realidade inserida, mas que também introduz uma nova visão de futuro e qualidade de vida em Moscavide, se deixando influenciar pelos conceitos já experimentados no bairro vizinho, o Parque das Nações, o qual integra a realidade de viver na cidade com o prazer de um lugar arejado e verde.
The city is the synthesis of the image of man and his yearnings. It is with this vision in mind that this work seeks to carefully read a peripheral place rich in physical and temporal elements such as Moscavide. More than that, an investigation of this document defines a project proposal that brings together the due concepts inherent to the existing realities in the boundaries between Moscavide and Parque das Nações, in order to conceive an architecture capable of connecting the two parts and enabling the act of crossing at various scales. Breaking the boundaries and granting access is one of the most insightful tasks of contemporary architecture, which is bound to revise the urban and architectural aspects of its existing conjuncture. Rehabilitating the urban, therefore, is the design approach, being achieved from a theoretical basis that seeks to define the main components of the territory primarily in a conceptual and holistic way, then delve deeper into the existing matter and launch a materializable proposal in consistency with the reality of the intervention site. Moscavide today has an underutilized market that fails in its social role as a meeting place and collective promotion. For this reason, it was necessary to rethink its current implantation in the urban fabric and to outline the optimization of what is most solemn in a Municipal Market, so that this object can pool the diversity of local life. Also in this sense, pluralizing the functions of the territory involves not only increasing the quality of the urban landscape, but also directly solving its adjacent urban voids, which gain new uses and users, producing a territory rich in diversity. Finally, it is intended to design an architectural object that translates the inserted reality, but also introduces a new vision of the future and quality of life in Moscavide, dissipating by the concepts already experienced in the neighboring neighborhood, Parque das Nações, with which it integrates living in the city with the pleasure of a more airy and green environment by overcoming its physical and qualitative limits.
