Abstract(s)
O presente estudo teve como objetivo investigar as perceções dos
colaboradores acerca da experiência com a avaliação de desempenho,
avaliando como esta afeta o comprometimento organizacional e, em última
instância, a retenção dos mesmos. A metodologia utilizada foi quantitativa,
recorrendo à aplicação de um inquérito por questionário aplicado a uma amostra
de 332 colaboradores de diversas organizações privadas. Para a análise de
dados recorreu-se ao programa IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0.
O estudo permitiu indicar que a experiência com a avaliação de
desempenho exerce um impacto positivo significativo sobre o comprometimento
organizacional dos colaboradores. No entanto, a relação entre a experiência com
a avaliação de desempenho e a retenção de colaboradores não revelou
significância estatística. Em contrapartida, o comprometimento organizacional
demonstrou ter um efeito positivo na retenção dos colaboradores.
Conclui-se que, embora a experiência com a avaliação de desempenho
não tenha uma relação direta e significativa com a retenção dos colaboradores,
o comprometimento organizacional é um fator essencial para a permanência dos
colaboradores nas organizações. O estudo contribui para a literatura existente
ao evidenciar a importância da avaliação de desempenho e o impacto que esta
pode ter na motivação e lealdade dos colaboradores.
The present study aimed to investigate employees perceptions of their experience with performance appraisal, assessing how it affects organizational commitment and, ultimately, employee retention. The methodology used was quantitative, using a questionnaire survey applied to a sample of 332 employees from various private organizations. For data analysis, the IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0 program was used. The study allowed us to indicate that the experience with performance appraisal has a significant positive impact on employees organizational commitment. However, the relationship between the experience with performance appraisal and employee retention did not reveal statistical significance. On the other hand, organizational commitment has been shown to have a positive effect on employee retention. It is concluded that, although experience with performance appraisal does not have a direct and significant relationship with employee retention, organizational commitment is an essential factor for employees to remain in organizations. The study contributes to the existing literature by highlighting the importance of performance appraisal and the impact it can have on employees motivation and loyalty.
