Abstract(s)
This project is born at the intersection of the areas of editorial design, artistic mediation and collective reading, and consists of the projection of several editorial formats capable of stimulating reading carried out by a collective of people simultaneously. It appears that, in the different contexts where there is creation and mediation around the book object, the format rarely used actually promotes a collective approach to it and a consequent shared reading by all those involved. This research seeks to find formats and morphologies of editorial objects that aim to serve a collective of people who want to read it together and build a collective and creative experience of knowledge. The aim is to place the book object in a place of meeting, reflection, and creative collective work, and consequently see it as a container of ideas and a promoter of thought. After historical research into the theme of reading, more precisely collective reading, and the positioning of the book in this meeting place of different ages, cultures and contexts, practices, and ways of looking at and deconstructing this object of reading will be sought, analyzing them with the aim of finding new morphologies that serve to disintegrate it and propose its reading to a group of people collectively. Experiments were carried out with selected groups of different graphic objects with the aim of refining shapes and obtaining methodologies for mediating works of art to obtain plastic contents that will be the content of the objects for collective reading. We arrived at a set of book-object formats that provide different forms of collective reading. These formats were organized in a digital tool book accompanied by respective construction instructions, mediation methodologies and reading dynamics. The tool book will be available to be worked on in different contexts of collective activities
