Este estudo na área da administração educacional discorre sobre o tema que envolve as ações
desenvolvidas pelo gestor escolar para a promoção da participação da comunidade na escola,
procurando abranger qual ou quais, intervenções podem ser feitas para que se tenha um maior
envolvimento da comunidade nas ações desenvolvidas na unidade escolar, em especial ao que
se refere às propostas de projetos e parcerias que tenham o intuito de promover uma
dedicação maior por parte da comunidade, no que se referem aos pais, responsáveis, líderes
comunitários e demais atores da sociedade presente nos assuntos inerentes ao espaço escolar.
Este tema é relevante na medida em que, nos dias de hoje, os gestores escolares deparam-se
continuamente com novos desafios, principalmente no que diz respeito a uma maior
participação de todos os stakeholders educacionais. O desenvolvimento de parcerias com o
ambiente externo tende a aumentar a permeabilidade da organização escolar à ação de novos
atores. O gestor escolar admite-se como elo central na relação da unidade escolar com o seu
entorno, estando suas ações fundamentadas e expostas à influência de novos intérpretes
educativos. O objetivo geral deste estudo é compreender as ações promovidas pelo gestor
escolar para a promoção da participação da comunidade na escola, procurando identificar as
estratégias e ações aplicadas pelo diretor escolar para a construção de uma escola mais
democrática. Compreendendo assim, a forma como é exercida a liderança na organização
escolar, identificando seu modelo organizacional, percebendo a relação existente entre a
comunidade e a escola e pontuando a participação comunitária. O estudo delimita-se num
paradigma interpretativo, com uma abordagem de caráter qualitativo, recorrendo a entrevistas,
questionário e análise documental como instrumentos de recolha de dados. Dos resultados do
estudo destaca-se que a relação externa estabelecida entre gestor e comunidade, cria-se a
partir do diálogo estabelecido entre líder comunitário e escola, onde o princípio de gestão
democrática deve ser respeitado e que ações como parceria com a comunidade, cooperação e
respeito mútuo, iniciadas pelo gestor podem gerar uma escola de sucesso.
This study in the area of educational administration discusses the theme that involves the actions developed by the school manager to promote community participation in the school, seeking to cover which or which interventions can be made so that there is greater community involvement in the actions developed in the school unit, especially with regard to the proposals for projects and partnerships that aim to promote greater dedication by the community, regarding parents, guardians, community leaders and other actors of society present in the matters inherent to the school space. This theme is relevant insofar as, nowadays, school managers are continually faced with new challenges, especially about to greater participation of all educational stakeholders. The development of partnerships with the external environment tends to increase the permeability of the school organization to the action of new actors. The school manager is admitted as a central link in the relationship between the school unit and its surroundings, with their actions being grounded and exposed to the influence of new educational interpreters. The general objective of this study is to understand the actions promoted by the school manager to promote community participation in the school, seeking to identify the strategies and actions applied by the school director to build a more democratic school. Thus, understanding the way in which leadership is exercised in the school organization, identifying its organizational model, realizing the relationship between the community, the school and scoring community participation. The study is delimited in an interpretive paradigm, with a qualitative approach, using interviews, questionnaire and documental analysis as data collection instruments. From the results of the study, it is highlighted that the external relationship established between the manager and the community is created from the dialogue established between the community leader and the school, where the principle of democratic management must be respected and that actions initiated by the manager generate a school of success.
