Abstract(s)
In my master thesis entitled โFigura humana e fantasia: um desafio em Desenho A, 11ยฐโ (Human and Fantasy Figure: A Challenge in Drawing A, eleventh grade) I present my xperience of internship at the high-school โArco-รญrisโ of Portela, during my Master Degree in Education of the Visual Arts. From October 2016 to March 2017, with the help of the Cooperating Teacher Teresa Ferreira, I taught three curricular units distributed in 39 classes. Through the study of the human structure and sessions of life drawing, several works were developed according to the fantasy and creativity of the students: polygonal skull shaped masks and a three-dimensional representation of a fantasy creature, exploring the real and imaginary aspect of the human being. According to the curriculum of the discipline โDrawing Aโ for the eleventh grade, the contents taught not only examined the human figure, its structure and the perception of three-dimensionality, but also several techniques of drawing, decoration and molding, using various materials and resources. Each work has its own characteristics developed with the study of the human body and its re-elaboration, in order to investigate the concept of identity and its affirmation. The works were evaluated through evaluation grids created with the help of Cooperating Teacher, taking account of the direct and the indirect observation of the projects and the self-assessment note given by the students. My intervention during the internship was based on the desire of making the class more independent and creating a collaborative work environment, where the exchange of opinions, subjects and help among the students not only increased the productivity of the class but also raised the quality of the works, acquiring theoretical and practical knowledges.
