dc.description.abstract	In the following dissertation, the theme - Para além do lugar (Beyond the place) - was the reason of the theorical and conceptual investigation of my artistic work. Para além do lugar: uma possível construção interior (Beyond the place: a possible inner construction) is the starting point for a research about the inner place and its importance in a purest artistic creation. This construction, of a space called inner place, presents itself as an existencial place, as a construction of presence. I study a possible evolution to the understanding of body and space because the world is reflected on the body and the body is projected into the world. I analyze the existence of the binominal interior and exterior place, where the movement of the body is taken into consideration, as it presents as a passage. I investigate the memory and the perception through the senses as an important matter for the construction of an inner world. I looked for that relation starting by my own questions and doubts in architecture, in painting, in installation and in sculpture. My artistic work is a materialization of that inner construction - Para além do lugar (Beyond the place) – that one can feel the presence through my sketchbooks, paintings and objects. It is a place of free and pure experimentation, as the act of creation is an open space in constant mutation. The artistic process reveals itself here as an inner path, timeless, full of invisibility, it is something beyond. The invisibility’s transformation into possibility is made through the passage into the body, by a spell or blow. The work is my extension, it is me in a concrete form, it is the home of my inner place, a beyond the place. It represents a cycle of birth, cross and destruction and is reborn each time it is witnessed	pt_PT
