Este estudo teve como objetivo refletir sobre a influência do pensamento de Paulo
Freire nas ações educativas do Projeto Letras Prá Vida. Trata-se de uma investigação
qualitativa, nomeadamente, de um estudo de caso, cujo foco esteve centrado na visão
de quatro dinamizadoras das oficinas do projeto, apreendida através de entrevista, e
na observação participante do programa anual de formação, oferecida aos
dinamizadores e demais interessados no projeto. Partindo da discussão teórica das
principais ideias do pensamento de Paulo Freire sobre educação, alfabetização e o
educador de adultos, seguiu-se para o detalhamento do contexto da investigação, da
metodologia e das especificidades do estudo em questão. A análise das contribuições
do pensamento freireano foi realizada a partir de descrições e discussões dos dados
levantados, destacando os sentidos que os próprios envolvidos do projeto
expressaram durante a investigação. Constatou-se uma visão crítica sobre educação
e alfabetização de adultos, a partir da leitura do contexto atual, além de trazer, direta
e indiretamente, uma análise conceitual sobre tais temáticas. Verifica-se a presença
de uma concepção humanista que embasa toda ação educativa. O método Paulo
Freire consiste numa das estratégias metodológicas utilizadas, funcionando como
ponto de partida ou fonte orientadora de princípios a serem observados e
encaminhados pelos educadores. O papel do educador, na visão das entrevistadas, é
facilitar, abrindo caminhos para a aprendizagem, a partir de uma relação horizontal de
troca de saberes. A formação observada trouxe uma relação consistente entre o
conteúdo da aprendizagem e a metodologia utilizada, revelando coerência entre os
princípios anunciados e a metodologia aplicada. Verifica-se uma centralidade do
pensamento de Paulo Freire para o encaminhamento da proposta da formação,
principalmente quanto a temática da alfabetização. O pensamento freireano
demonstrou ser um dos grandes pilares do Projeto Letras Prá Vida, dado aos
pressupostos norteadores da educação humanista que apresenta.
This study aimed to reflect on the influence of Paulo Freire's thinking on the educational actions of the Letras Prá Vida Project. It is a qualitative investigation, namely, a case study, whose focus was centered on the vision of four facilitators of the project workshops, apprehended through interviews, and on the participant observation of the annual training program, offered to the facilitators and other interested in the project. Starting from the theoretical discussion of the main ideas of Paulo Freire's thought on education, literacy and the adult educator, it proceeded to detailing the context of the investigation, the methodology and the specificities of the study in question. The analysis of the contributions of Freire's thought was carried out based on descriptions and discussions of the collected data, highlighting the meanings that those involved in the project themselves expressed during the investigation. A critical view on adult education and literacy was found, based on the reading of the current context, in addition to bringing, directly and indirectly, a conceptual analysis on such themes. There is the presence of a humanist conception that underpins all educational action. The Paulo Freire method consists of one of the methodological strategies used, functioning as a starting point or guiding source of principles to be observed and guided by educators. The role of the educator, in the view of the interviewees, is to facilitate, opening paths for learning, based on a horizontal relationship of knowledge exchange. The training observed brought a consistent relationship between the learning content and the methodology used, revealing coherence between the announced principles and the applied methodology. There is a centrality of Paulo Freire's thought for the forwarding of the training proposal, mainly regarding the theme of literacy. Freire's thought proved to be one of the great pillars of the Letras Prá Vida Project, given the guiding assumptions of the humanist education it presents.
