A mobilidade apresenta-se como um fator de grande importância para a qualidade de
vida urbana. Foi esse um dos fatores essenciais que permitiu o desenvolvimento das
cidades e regiões metropolitanas. Atualmente o corredor metropolitano Lisboa - Cascais,
enfrenta desafios de articulação entre redes infraestruturais, ordenamento do território
e qualificação de espaço público, nomeadamente a nível da coesão dos seus tecidos e
qualidade do espaço urbano. Tendo como zona de estudo e intervenção o espaço
infraestrutural da A5, Lisboa-Cascais a linha temática inspiradora de projeto visa explorar
oportunidades de restruturação metropolitana a partir desta infraestrutura consolidando
a polarização em torno dos nós viários, e simultaneamente estabelecendo uma nova
matriz de ligações entre os diversos fragmentos de tecido que a envolve.
ABSTRACT: Mobility presents itself as a factor of great importance for the quality of urban life. This was one of the essential factors that allowed the development of cities and metropolitan regions. Currently the metropolitan corridor Lisbon - Cascais, faces challenges of articulation between infrastructural networks, spatial planning and qualification of public space, namely in terms of the cohesion of its fabrics and the quality of the urban space. Having the infrastructural space of the A5 as its study and intervention area, the inspiring thematic line of the project aims to explore opportunities for metropolitan restructuring based on this infrastructure, consolidating the polarization around road nodes. between the various fragments of tissue that surround it.
