This artistic research project develops around the reflection on the collage, the creation of an idea and its the personal definition. The exploration of this conception not only addresses artistic technique, but expands on the conceptual problem of collage. The search for this concept deals with the characteristics and actions intrinsic to the act of collage, examining its presence throughout the universe. The research includes the definition of the word, as well as the technical approaches in Art History to its observation and presence in daily life and formation in the biological world. Collage presupposes the realization of a series of actions, whether intentional or natural, but they contribute to the formation of a reality and/ or event. In this case, it can be divided into different genres according to its specificities, from artistic to biological collage, which is responsible for the creation of living elements. It is around this investigation about collage that culminates with the development of the Paper Cities project, which presupposes reflection on the characteristics of the collage previously enunciated through the creation of fictional places and objects based on the actions that the collage suggests.
