O presente trabalho tem como objetivo demonstrar a importância da diplomacia económica como um dos vetores da política externa para Cabo Verde, atendendo as dificuldades económicas do país. Nesse contexto oferecemos uma análise que incorpora o conceito diplomacia económica até os moldes em que esta é materializada. Ao analisarmos o papel da diplomacia económica na dinamização da economia cabo-verdiana, à luz dos principais tratados bilaterais e multilaterais com os seus parceiros económicos tradicionais, são notórios os resultados profícuos desta, o que possibilita a discussão dos efeitos que os tratados assinados neste âmbito da diplomacia podem produzir no ordenamento jurídico cabo-verdiano, nomeadamente o impato da diplomacia económica na vida dos cabo-verdianos. A ideia aqui proposta é a incorporação dos adidos comerciais e económicos nas missões diplomáticas cabo-verdianas, sendo que, a política externa de um Estado tem sempre procedimentos formais e complexos.
This paper aims to demonstrate the importance of economic diplomacy as one of the vectors of foreign policy for Cape Verde, given the country's economic difficulties. In this context, we provide an analysis that stems from the concept of economic diplomacy to the molds in which it is materialized. In analyzing the role of economic diplomacy in revitalizing the Cape Verdean economy, in the light of the main bilateral and multilateral treaties with its traditional economic partners, the fruitful results of this diplomacy are well-known, which makes it possible to discuss the effects that the treaties signed in this sphere of diplomacy can produce in Cape Verde's legal order, namely the impact of economic diplomacy on lives of Cape Verdeans. The hypothesis proposed here is the incorporation of commercial and economic attachés into Cape Verdean diplomatic missions, considering that the foreign policy of a State always has formal and complex procedures.
