| dc.description.abstract | O presente Projeto Final de Mestrado tem como principal objetivo adaptar o antigo Paço Episcopal de Leiria numa unidade hoteleira, tendo como início da sua história o século XVII, durante o qual e em séculos subsequentes serve o seu propósito original. Posteriormente, já no século XIX e na transição para o século XX passa a ter uma função militar. Viria ainda a servir de abrigo aos retornados de África, após a queda do Estado Novo em Portugal, no ano de 1974/1975. Tem como função atual albergar o Comando Distrital de Leiria e a Polícia de Segurança Pública. A intervenção passa por implementar neste edifício uma unidade hoteleira, que visa suprimir a carência desta área no território onde este se insere. O projeto de intervenção assenta no princípio de respeito para com a preexistência e a intervenção de uma forma consciente, com o objetivo de enriquecer o edifício. Esta unidade hoteleira pretende oferecer quartos para pernoitar na cidade, mas também áreas de lazer e de restauração, e ainda dar apoio à cultura com espaços expositivos e um auditório. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The main objective of this Master's Final Project is to adapt the old Episcopal Palace of Leiria. Its history begins to the 17th century, where it serves its original purpose, but later on it had a military function, thorugh which it would serve as a shelter. to “returnees” from the portuguese african colonies after the fall of the Estado Novo regime in Portugal, in 1974-1975. Its current function is to house the Leiria District Command and the Public Security Police. The intervention involves implementing a hotel in the building, which aims to eliminate the lack of this kind of facilities in this área, as well as in overall terms, in the whole territory where it is located. The intervention project is based on the principle of respect for the pre-existence proceeding with an intervention in a conscious way, with the aim of enriching the building. This hotel unit intends to offer rooms to stay overnight in the city, but also leisure and restaurant areas, as well as a support for the local culture with an exhibition space and an auditorium. | pt_PT |
