Neste relatório é realizada uma descrição e reflexão crítica do trabalho desenvolvido no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino de Artes Visuais, realizada no ano letivo de 2018/2019, na disciplina de Oficina de Artes do 12º ano do curso de Artes Visuais, da Escola Secundária Cacilhas-Tejo, Concelho de Almada.
A fim de responder à proposta da Câmara Municipal de Almada, de participar na exposição coletiva, comemorativa do 25 de abril, foi idealizado um projeto de fotografia denominado Esta é a madrugada que eu esperava, no qual os alunos estudaram alguns artistas portugueses, que se destacaram pela persistência da vida e pensamento em liberdade, numa época opressiva. Recriaram as imagens destes artistas, selecionando roupas e adereços que os identificassem e criando cenários dos lugares que estes frequentavam. Os alunos assumiram o papel dos artistas, realizando duas fotografias: uma retratando o artista antes do 25 de abril de 1974 e outra idealizando o artista a viver a sua juventude na atualidade, com as mesmas características de personalidade, mas sem ser sujeito ao regime de opressão.
Foram trabalhadas as técnicas de desenho, pintura, fotografia e intervenção em espaços culturais, utilizando a metodologia de trabalho de projeto. Os objetivos principais desta ação foram desenvolver conhecimentos e competências no domínio da fotografia e da identidade cultural coletiva e perceber de que forma a participação em oficinas e eventos externos à escola favorece a motivação dos alunos. No final, pudemos constatar que os estes se mostraram capazes de utilizar corretamente a maioria do material fotográfico. Conseguimos perceber que, o facto de os alunos terem participado numa oficina na Casa da Cerca e o facto do seu trabalho ter sido exposto na Galeria Municipal contribuíram muito para a motivação e empenho de todos. Durante o processo, não foi observável uma construção de identidade cultural coletiva, o que nos leva a refletir e reconsiderar as dinâmicas promovidas. Uma maior abertura ao diálogo e uma mais frequente discussão do tema, a visualização de filmes ou a ida a exposição poderão contribuir nesse sentido.
The present report describes and critically reflects the work developed within the Supervised Teaching Practice, an integral component of the Master in Visual Arts Teaching. During the academic year 2018/2019, this Supervised teaching Practice aimed the Art Workshop class of the Visual Arts curriculum, Senior year, at Cacilhas-Tejo High School, Almada. In order to answer Almada City Council’s proposal to participate in the April’s 25th collective exhibition, the photography project “This is the dawn I expected” allowed the students to study some Portuguese artists acknowledged has free thinkers during an oppressive period in the Portuguese history. The students recreated the images of those artists, selecting clothes and props that identified them and creating scenarios of the places they frequented. Through two photographs, students took on the role of the artists: one depicting the artist before April’s 25th, 1974; another idealizing the artist living their youth nowadays, with the same personality characteristics, but without being subject to the oppression regime. Using the working project methodology, drawing, painting, photography and intervention in cultural spaces techniques were used. The main objectives of this action were developing knowledge and skills in the field of photography, collective cultural identity and understanding how participation in workshops and events outside the school favour the motivation of students. In the end, we found that the students were able to use most of the photographic material correctly. We also realized that the students participation in Casa da Cerca’s workshop and seeing their work exhibited in the municipal gallery was a great contribution for their motivation and commitment. Throughout the process, the construction of a collective cultural identity was not observed, which leads us to reflect and reconsider the dynamics promoted. Greater openness to dialogue and more frequent discussion of the topic, watching movies or going to the exhibition can contribute to this.
