The growing demand for affordable housing in the city of seven hills has led to the need to create more housing to meet this need. The aim of this proposal is to create a building that provides a response to the needs of the population. This response is intended to ensure that, regardless of who comes to live in the building, it offers conditions that allow for a variety of appropriate options in order to respond to different needs. This theme of cost-controlled housing in a draining valley such as the Santo António Valley is part of the topic covered in the Integrated Project II Curricular Unit: “LISBON CITY OF VALLEYS - An Integrated Project”. A preponderant factor in the decisions made for the proposal of these buildings located in the Vale de Santo António was that they should be built at controlled costs, as we seek greater sustainability. At the urban level, attention was focused on the renaturalization of the Valley, where we sought to respect the existing buildings and take advantage of the natural elements that the place itself offers in order to contribute to the efficient management of natural resources, while planning a massive construction of low-cost housing.
