Abstract(s)
O desenvolvimento das infraestruturas assumiu-se paradoxal. Enquanto elementos
fundamentais na relação entre a cidade e o território, em que vieram dar palco às
vivências urbanas, à acessibilidade e a uma mobilidade rápida, as mesmas assumiram
também um papel fragmentador do território.
Propõe-se olhar para as infraestruturas como um elemento organizador da estrutura
urbana, capaz de estabelecer conexões, repor continuidades e promover a coesão
territorial.
Esta reflexão incide sobre o território de Cascais, na zona circunscrita ao Nó de
Carcavelos, e propõe questionar a forma como o desenho infraestrutural pode ter
influência na fragmentação espacial, na estrutura ecológica, na diversidade funcional,
e sobre como se pode redesenhar de forma a transformar o território.
O projeto pretende ser um elemento conector entre o lugar e a cidade, capaz de
aproveitar as oportunidades de reorganização do território, num conjunto de
intervenções a várias escalas.
ABSTRACT: The development of infrastructure was assumed to be paradoxical. As fundamental elements in the relationship between the city and the territory, comparing the stage to urban experiences, accessibility and rapid mobility, as they also assumed a fragmenting role for the territory.
